What's the milage and elevation look like starting, ending at Nix? rough estimate. Although the longer route is tempting.

 

You’d lose quite a bit....probably 10 miles/1500-2000’

You could come ride with me on fun stuff while your husband logs in fire-road miles! He won't mind.

(OK, to be fair - the route includes two trips down Camarillo, and runs down Rattlesnake, Lizard and Cow Trail. That certainly adds some fun to the miles.)

 

We ended up skipping the Rattlesnake drop and climb last year due to time.

 

Babysitter-time-wise it does not look possible for me, it would have been my first time also to meet (anyone). Just a tip, upcoming Saturday it is also open access day, 8am - 2pm. After having climbed Quail Hill, going down Cattle Crest, Shady Oaks, then drop down Camarillo is quite a nice option too

 

The yellow stuff is the goods.

 

And when you post up your birthday ride....you can do what ever route you want to do.

Unfortunately I cannot make any of this. It's "get the Christmas tree and put up the lights" day. (At least I'm not giving the cat a perm, or taking the gerbil to the vet.)

 

I was planning to attend but I tweaked my wrist late last night and it's still sensitive this morning. I may try to do some local and short stuff a little later to see how it feels.
