Thanks guys, didn’t mean to come off as a wimp but holding people back can be stressful in itself... but I know this is the right crew to hit this with. Gonna lay off cheeseburgers this week and get my body ready!

Ha, didnt mean to change everyones plans, but i do appreciate it. I better commit now, haha. Corn if wednesday doesnt work for you you and mike go on tues and ill still go on wed! but hope wed works for everyone. Dont worry Corn, this group is way chill. You and me will be fighting over who the boat anchor will be! and i certainly cant ride all of yeager. Gotta do it at least once a year though.
My one caveat is i cant do a super early start, 830 0r so would be good.

One joy of this ride is the manageable distance. You don't need to be in a hurry. In fact, if you take the climb slowly with plenty of breaks, you'll have more energy for fun on the descent. That's my plan. Anyone who wants to haul ass up or down certainly can, but I'll be milking it.

Never had more than 4 in a Yeager group...looking like midweek party ride bliss!!!!!!!!!!

Give yourself :40 to ride from the Wash if that's your plan. Driving in takes longer than one thinks; allot :25 for that.

Just a fyi for the crew.... @mike , your invite says ~4 hours total, I've never done the loop less than 4.5 including breaks and had a couple times around 6 hours (may have been some flats/mechanicals involved). And of course the cold beverages at the end...

Need to get my cooler back from a friend so I can bring some barley pops for post ride.

USFS just sent out a memo that all Forest gates will be closed, including Holy Jim, possibly through the weekend. As usual, foot and mtb access still legal.

As @sir crashalot warned, there appears to be .8 inches of precip forecast for the Tue/Wed system. Maybe a fizzler, but worth keeping an eye on...

 

Hopefully I have my bike back by Wednesday, todays ride destroyed it to say the least and it’s gonna need a full tear down, shock/fork service, possibly dropper and maybe new BB.

I had it 3 weeks ago, got a z pac from the doc, it went away and now it's back, but not as bad, so far. Good choice to cool your jets and kick it so you can get out there again sooner. Having said that...

If it's not raining and I don't feel too sneezy/runny/crappy, I plan to park at the FS gate around 8am and get started. There is xx% chance that I turn around before MD, but hoping for elevated energy and reduced gravity resistance to do the whole thing with ya'll.

 

Still gonna try depending on how my baby girl does tonight. Just mounted my new tire in case the stars align.

 

The bike looks a little different than it did on Saturday.
