This was on my do to list unit 10 days ago when my cardiologist decided that I need an angioplasty...... :-(

The procedure was successful. I'm hoping to receive the green light for "light physical activity" today.
I don't think I'll be able to regain my fitness in time.

There is always next year...... right?

Why oh why has our moderator allowed two threads on the same topic? :confused:C'mon Mikie, save us from our existential angst!!! A man with one watch always knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never quite sure. :bang:

You'll be ok... I added the second to the racing forum, so I could put it on the calendar. That way everyone can make sure it doesn't fall on "perm the cat" day. :whistling:

Just got me a site at Mountain Oak CG reserved, for Friday, Saturday. This CG is located almost right across Jackson Lake. Two years ago it was right in route about 20 miles in.

I'm missing it. What is the other thread so I can combine. Sorry, just a little too much on my plate I guess...

Edit: I found it. Threads have been merged. Thanks for the heads up!;)

And now we know for sure that merging threads deletes the calendar entry... which was why I created the second thread in the racing forum. :whistling: @HBkites- Can you add this back to the calendar.

I usually import them into Google Earth, so I can do a flyover, but they were corrupt with all sorts of extra lines. I downloaded GPX Reader (on a Mac) and I can at least see the courses now on a map.

I haven't tried to put them on the Garmin yet.

I viewed the player above and followed along with the cue sheet, and it was pretty spot on.

And I got the Out and Back files loaded on the Garmin ok, and the maps look correct. The elevation is wonky... It shows a flat course with a spike to 15000 feet in the middle. But as long as the map is there, we should be able to follow it.

I think Geoladders will work for me. I ordered a garmin from Universal Cycles, we'll see if it loads up.

At Geoladders I try to download the route on to my Garmin but the computer does not read it or sense it.

I have to use Firefox to download from Geoladders.

I had no trouble downloading to my Garmin 705

My Garmin 510 is finicky... I have to plug it in with the power off, and then hit the power button to put it in "Disk mode". It will be recognized by the computer when the screen changes to an icon of the Garmin with a cable attached to a PC.

    Newer Garmins probably behave differently...

Any chance one of you kind guys know how to import the route to Garmin connect?
I found one in there but I can't tell when it was created. I was able to load it up to my 520.

I don't think I've ever figured out how to get them into Garmin Connect. I'm just happy when I get them on the Garmin, and it doesn't crash.

I tried to do a manual import on Garmin Connect and it wouldn't work....on any of the 3 files they sent.

I got Geoladders to work. You have to use Firefox. It will ask if you want to allow Garmin Communicator plugin to run....click "allow". Another box will open saying "allow and remember"...click it. Refresh the page. Then you should be able to download the route to your garmin.

I think he got it on the Garmin already. He was looking to see it on the web... Which is something I've never been able to do with the Garmin Connect. That software is pretty bad...
