You know what I'd rather...

 

Then I would get my big ring back, I miss going fast. I keep dreaming on putting on a 42 on the modern rig. I cannot understand one little ring, it defies the laws of physics.

 

I’d rather split the difference and ride my old 2014 Kona Hei Hei or Ibis Ripley OG. Both bikes kicked ass and I’ve spent thousands over the years trying to duplicate that magic...

 

I know what you mean. We've all had (at least) one magical bike in our time that was a step above the others we've had.

Like you, I've had two as well.

 

The funny thing about you @Voodoo Tom is that at least as far as I know the Ripley is still available to you. So don't understand why you need to duplicate just go ride it.

 

Two of my main bikes are magical, and I would never sell either one. Unfortunately, I have three main bikes.

True but when I sold the Kona out from under him Nick wasn't thrilled so I gave him the Ripley. If I steal it back then I'd have to give him the Hightower.. Or I could just do like you said and ride it and he would never know. Truth be told I don't know if it was the magical bike or the magical adventures it took me on back in those days. There was a few years where @Mikie & I shoulda been shot dead for all the gates and fence hopping we did.

 

My Revel fills the void left by the Tracer and seems to be even more gooderer. The Tracer was my fave.

EDIT: The PR on The Luge was waaaaay too easy on my Rail.

 

You just need to sell the Hightower and get the Ripley V4 and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Not sure about the adventures, other than getting out there. But, that may become illegal soon.
