Hitting Aliso now-ish. Anybody out there have the day off and want to join me? Canyon Vistas (although not sure about street sweeping cycle) at 8:00. Thursday, July 27.

Still thinking about the Holy Jim - Trabuco Loop... Something like 26 miles and 4800 feet from the end of the wash. Saturday or Sunday... Earlyish start. Social pace...

 

Thanks, and I did. Of course "now-ish" turned into a roll time of 8:50, but nice solo ride of 2400'. Sweaty, but not too hot. A few folks out but no disruptions to the descents.

 

Maybe Sunday when the humidity isn't suppose to be 400%

Sunday works... Which bike? I'm debating. I may punish myself for one more...

 

I'm used to the Santa Ana bugs... They're quite tasty this time of year. Tailwind may disagree, but I think there are some tangible benefits to small amounts of protein intake.

 

Just make sure you chew, and don't inhale them like I did. They burn.

 

Summer rides in the Santa Ana's.....5am starts are the norm. I'd start earlier, but my riding compadres may not be my riding compadres if that were the case.

 

Pfffft......I have already hung the TB back on the wall.

 

I'm a maybe for Sunday. How's that for totally non-committal?!

The wife has claimed Sunday. I have enough deferred honeydos I may not get Saturday either.

And to be honest HJ/ Trabuco is probably not in my bag of tricks right now. At least not at any reasonable pace.

Easy to shave 9 miles off the ride by driving up the road for 25 min, and two bail options (reverse HJ; drop West Horsetheif).

If you can make this ride, I will too (despite repercussions). Social pace all the way for me. I'll bring the coldies. Your wife must be a reasonable person...a break in the middle of a honeydo weekend unreasonable? Or just inconvenient? I can borrow ya some pads if ya wanna pro up for Trabuco.

 

Actually, she wants to continue riding with me at least once a week, and Sunday is the day this week.

In order to preserve domestic bliss, I won't be riding Sunday... It is our 25th anniversary, after all.

 

I gotta ride somewhere tomorrow. I just gotta!

 

Snow Summit tomorrow. Vince will be getting more video. Hopefully he won't land on someone this time.

 

Santa Monicas tomorrow Sunday. Caballero trailhead at 6:30am. Fire roads, single track, the usual dirty stuff. 25 miles or so. Some suffering involved.

 

I'm pretty sure I'll be riding the Mountain to Sea trail with the wife again tomorrow. Early start, maybe we'll make it farther up Jamboree this time.

 

Looks like a table for four at Ridge Park Drive (Newport Coast) at 7:30-ish. I only have confirmation from @Cougar, but we are supposed to be including @Danimal and our friend Todd. I have not received recent confirmation from either.

Who knows what we will ride - probably Lizards, Laurel, Camarillo, Stagecoach, Willow, Fenceline/ML, Rattle?

 

Sounds fun wish I could join! No riding for me this weekend.
