So what are you thinking? I have an offer to ride in the morning if you are going to hit Ding Dong with others in the afternoon. If you want to play in Aliso and or LCWP with me, I will adjust to an afternoon ride.

The Safety Crew is gonna ride Aliso/LCWP at 1:30 with Herzie. @herzalot is gonna select the rendezvous locale, and i’ll do my best to be punctual.

We will go up something, then down something, then up something, and down something else and continue in this fashion until we don't.

This is why I do not do Trailhead invites.

 

That works then... I just got in from the San Juan ride and the wife informed me that she and the kid made plans for us tomorrow.

I gotta take the kid time while I got it...

Anyone planning or want to ride this afternoon around 2pm in the OC area? Of work early and plan to take advantage of it. Aliso, Laguna, Oaks...

 

I’m still riding there in my head, and this time I’m faster than @herzalot!

 

I'm a skier. When we went skiing we never mapped out our runs. We just agreed on what ski area at what time and went from there.

Greer is on the agenda for this weekend...one of the guys needs to break in his new Revel Rail. I think I'll need to take it for a spin at some point to see how it compares to the Tracer since it has the same 170/165 travel.

 

This weekend: Bootleg Canyon, Cottonwood Trail System, and Red Rocks. Don't sound familiar, cus Im goin to Vegas baby!

 

I know on Friday around 9:00pm I will be texting @Voodoo Tom asking what in the world are we going to do tomorrow morning...

And by that time I'll be roughly 5 beers deep and just starting to think of some crazy/dumb ideas...

Oh come on that's plenty of time, we've used that ritual for the last several years and it's always worked. Key is just have your ready to go, anytime and anywhere...

 

Works for you guys but makes it tough on the stragglers who want to tag along. The fact that one of you lives in Canada and the other on the Border makes it all the tougher.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, or anything...

 

By mountain biker standards you aren't very far from us and always welcome to join and carpool. I guess we could start texting around 8:00pm to come up with a solid plan and have a trailhead invite posted before midnight.

 

I often post about an hour before my rides. Funny thing is, I often get as many people joining in with short notice as I do with longer notice.

 

I'm taking the car in for service at Tustin Mazda Saturday morning. I'll most likely be riding toward/through Peters Cyn & into Santiago Oaks for a while.

Will be up in Lake Arrowhead though the weekend. Planning to ride Exploration trail either Sat, Sun or Mon.

Yes, I was going twice a week (mid-week) for a while. It's 100% made by MTBR's for MTBR's and is essentially all singletrack aside from one fire road that allows you to access the area. The dedicated climbing trails are pretty close to perfect as far as their pitch/grade and is usually the 1st thing a newbie to the area comments on. All in all, I personally think they are the best "enduro" type trails outside of Mt Wilson in SoCal.
