Yellowstone is my current favorite. But since Joe Pickett dropped on Spectrum I now have 2 faves. I've read every C.J. Box book in the series. Great author, very well done TV adaptation.

The Wire. Amazing and perfect storytelling!

The Expanse. Season six opinion pending.

Enjoying all the D+ Marvel and SW fare.

Nora from Queens is pretty damn funny.

What We Do In The Shadows is a must watch. If you don't like it, we can't be friends.

Atlanta for just off-beat and interesting world I know nothing of.

Spoken like an absolute closed off curmudgeon!

First - I concur with Yellowstone - violent and disturbing, but really good. And there have been scores of intelligent, well-written, well acted series over the past ten years alone.

Ted Lasso is absolutely perfect. Incredibly intelligent, funny, sweet, well written, well acted and unique.

Lemoney Snicket (20017-2020) was amazingly hilarious and incredibly sharp - and totally bizarre. Neil Patrick Harris.

Once Upon a Time (2011-2018) may have had the best acting I've ever seen on television in the person of Robert Carlyle. How he didn't get an Emmy for the (dual) role of Rumpelstiltskin is beyond me.

I could come up with several more, and I didn't watch the most popular ones like Breaking Bad or The Wire.

On the other hand, I am told there is an entire franchise of Real Housewives... horrifying idiocy. Stop making stupid people famous!

Spectrum is my cable provider and J.P. is a Spectrum Original. But it was produced by Paramount and will be released later on Paramount+.

We enjoy "Ted Lasso" too. Also on Apple+ is "The Morning Show" which we think is excellent.

Yep... Watched a couple episodes out of the corner of my eye when the wife had it on. Now I'm hooked... Although it's a little strange to see Septa Unella in this light.

The feature film that spawned the series is also very good. Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement are a great writing combination.
Jemaine is part of Flight of the Conchords, they had their own tv series on HBO under the same name which was very funny, a lot of NZ humour in there. I went to school with the other half of Flight of the Conchords, Bret Mckenzie, both of them are seriously talented blokes!

    I'm a simpleton...
Seinfeld... Where everyone is funny except the comedian. No Soup for You!
Scrubs... Elliot is annoying, but somehow, she's still hot!
Psych... For me stupid humor is the best humor. I wonder how much of the script was ad libbed.
How I Met Your Mother... Sorry, I can't explain it, its just funny.
Firefly... A One Season wonder that no one can figure out why it got canned! :( Now, even the people who canned it.
Expanse... I watch the 5 Seasons enough to lip sink most of the script. The Final Season just came out, so guess what I'm watching all over again?

Yes, those two together are amazing! Taika just has too much talent for one person!!! I tried FOTC, but couldn't commit.

Seinfeld was such an amazing show. Pure cultural touchstone. You were either there, or weren't!
I watch Curb on and off and you can really see Larry's impact on the show, maybe more than Jerry's.

I watched the first 3 seasons on Peacock.
Loved the outdoor theme, and the beauty of "Montana". The plot on the other head felt like soup opera.
Unrealistic twists and background stories that don't add up. For me it looks like someone is trying too hard to keep the audience hooked.

I prefer a story that develops at a slower more realistic pace like Bosch (on Prime ticket).
Schitt's Creak (Netflix) is funny at times.

I think the last series I watched was Battlestar Galactica (2000's version). Rewatch it on occasion, especially when I am on the trainer. Other than that, just Youtube stuff for me (so much amazing content out there).

    For the holidays; a well-done feel-good series:

All Creatures Great and Small (2020)

Also a couple of ones worth the viewing:

The Witcher (starts slow, but stay with it - new season breaking NOW)
The Queen's Gambit. Quirky character study about an orphan girl growing up in the world of chess.

I liked Queen's Gambit. Haven't seen the others yet but both seem to be popular. For something different, Frontera Verde (netflix). It's from Columbia in subtitles. Nice cinematography and trippy storyline.
