St George Thanksgiving Time

Went to Costco there, and was kinda' shocked the rear left quadrant didn't have aisles of booze. Whole different world!

 

Hah!!! Ice-Chest police at the border? Like the old agricultural check centers in CA...

We returned from the Park City area two weeks ago. I don't remember the name of the large grocery store we stopped at in Cedar City, but there was plenty to chose from on the beer isle, unless you craved a Pliny.

In Heber City we stopped at both Albertsons and Smiths and also found a decent selection. Hey, it was cold and we were thirsty.

 

Davis market in La Verkin has a separate beer cubby you had to buy from, but it was pretty well stocked. We wanted to stimulate the local economy!

 

I was up there last weekend. Got in a decent amount of miles and mostly rode trails I hadn't ridden the last two times I went there. I might go again in a couple weeks before it gets too cold.

I don't drink, so alcohol wasn't an issue for me.

 

but the alcohol content on the beer is a bit lower in utah... very refreshing however..

 

I prefer low alcohol beers, so yeah, not a problem!

 

What's wrong with a good 9% ABV IPA?

Cedar City is an entire island of beer? Cool!

 

I knew that was coming.

 

I can only have one before I need a nap? And it leaves me too full for real food?

Beer may be hard to find, but I bet the ammo selection is out of this world.

 

Probably a good thing that both are not readily available at the same time....

 

So inconvenient... In the south, they were usually in the same aisle. Right next to the home taxidermy kits.

 

Just say "isle of beer" a few times. And I will agree. Kinda like the "Isle of Lucy" referred to in Spinal Tap.
