Redlands Strada Rossa VI 3.02.19

I'm hoping the dam can be a regular feature! The security seemed to genuinely love having us there.

It was a tough ride though... It took me eight hours in the saddle to go 40 miles!

Coming down from the dam on Alder Creek was pretty mellow. No mud. Just cruised down. Would be pretty fun on a MTB.

 

I spent Monday working that! La Serpeinte is the Strava name. It's official name is Westridge or Oakridge, depending on who you ask.

 

To be fair..... The only part that was less than stellar was the first dirt section. Other than that it was great.

That wildood/Pisgah section was crazy and fun. Even more so when I realized I had not seen ANYONE else in over an hour.

Overall I had a great time and will be back for more in future events and I've done it before so I realize this is not the norm. I take just as much blame for thinking "it can't be THAT bad" after driving in an absolute downpour the entire way from HB.

 

Crazy and fun... a good combo!

 

I would imagine he's bored out of his mind on a normal day. For him this was like when a biker rides past a yard with a dog and it comes out and chases you along the fence. You've totally made its day...

 

Make up/bonus ride on the 30th!!!!!
