Way to go Sara. I guess I missed the part where you had the surgery. I'm impressed that you are so mobile so soon. The medical advice has changed regarding a lot of ortho procedures and they want you up and moving asap. Or, maybe you are just tougher than everyone else

 

Thanks Tucker, I’m not tougher..just really needed a dirt fix. The surgery could have gone either way, when the Dr looked inside of the knee he opted for a procedure that would let me bear weight right away...., thankfully!

 

New accomplishments every day, today it was riding down the steep hill on his own using his rear brake. The reward was visiting his neighborhood friends...

So I brought my new to me bike stand home, and my hubby says, “I could build one of those”

Gotta love the rigid fork with rear suspension.

 

Wow - can't see a problem with the amount of spacers and other weirdness elevating the handlebars. Then there's the saddle springs to take the edge off the rear suspension. This poor Santa Cruz should not have been sentenced to this kind of life.

Taking my soon to be 3 year old out for his first “trail” ride in a few days so I printed out some scavenger hunt checklists to add some extra fun into it (read: wrangle the short attention span).

 

You'll prove that on October 20th. Too late now... I saw your name on the list.

You’ve been patient enough with me in the past at places like Cannell, AZ stuff and SART so I think you’ll be able to handle Irvine Park’s tamest trails with a toddler. Might even get a few of the scavenger hunt items for us with your vast knowledge!

 

It's the scavenger hunt that I am interested in most!

 

Can you scan those individually and upload them as a .pdf That looks like a pretty fun game to play on my mtb.

 

Unfortunately I'm going to have to bail on that ride. Our annual Halloween party was moved up a week this year and there's no way out of it. That'll teach me to sign up for sh¡t after having a few beers.
