I think the good leg is not the one to worry about if you harvest ligament from it. Not sure what SOP is, or if there is one, but FWIW I had a patellar graft from the same leg the ACL ligament was replaced. It was not a tear; it was a complete sever, and it's good enough now to do almost anything (losing 1/3 of my patellar tendon is not a limiting factor). But I still am cognizant of it's limitation (meniscus damage) and so I minimize bad stuff like hiking DH with a load.

I gave up distance running because of a separate injury. Not to suggest a grim prospect, sara, but mentally I would prepare to do what we all have to do in time: Adjust based on conditions. The good news is, riding bikes more could be part of that. Inline wheelchair FTW! Getting old's a beeotch, but it beats the alternative :)

    Nooooo! I can’t give up trial running..talk about a biotch!:devilish: Inline wheelchair...bite your tongue! ;)
Do you have any pain when riding or hiking, and how long was recovery??
My doc said I’ll be fine to run again and is the one recommending cadaver bits, he says the healing is slower due to the obvious that it’s dead tissue. A friend of mine had the graft from his other leg and now he can’t fully squat or forward bend due to shorter tendon or ligament..not sure which.

Yep I took 2 showers this morning. One in water and another in Stans. As much as I love the Ikons on this bike I'm starting to think it might be time for something a little more durable for my commute. Maybe a pair of 2.5 minions will hold up on the xc bike.

Hey sara, I missed this. No knee pain. 6 months recovery to doing 80% of previous activity.

Your friend had a hamstring graft? Wow, bad outcome for such a common procedure. My limitations have little to do with my repaired knee. But I’m sure that dialing it back slightly because of other issues has helped it. At a point, longevity is the goal more than getting as rad as possible in every way. That’s where bikes can come into play. One actually can get pretty rad without big physical consequences. Provided the rubber is kept down : )

Hey, no worries. I like the NO knee pain, I’ve heard both ends of the spectrum, and I’ll take 80% ..that’s not TOO shabby!
You’re right about dialing it back for longevity, this stacking stuff is a reality check and is also very humbling....may even ditch the Strava.
    Thanks for the response Mike!:)

The bike is telling you to shed the gears. You're going to have bad JuJu until you listen to it.

Ikon is the perfect tire for Palm Canyon. Or maybe a Racing Ralph... :p

Some things can not be unseen. I wish I never saw this.
I would have no problem staking a fire starter to a stake and dousing them with gasoline with a very long pour to 500 yards and lighting it.
The evil within people to cause so much destruction to land and wildlife makes me literally sick to my stomach.
I'm nauseous right now just thinking about it...:cry:

We were chatting with the Ranger yesterday and this doofus admitted he was under the weed influence when he drove in through Oaks, across the stream, up the B's and over to Barham where he came upon Cactus. During the day. They are going to pursue all charges including destruction to the trails.

Also e-bikes will be permitted on paved trails (class c? ) in the future but still not permitted off trail. And lastly, no more races where speed is the main focus. Fun rides, SHARE Poker Rides, will still be allowed but they have received a lot of heat from the public about staged races where excessive speed is involved.

They gotta be able to charge doofus with something.

Excited about the ebike news.....hopefully signs go up along with enforcement.

Racing in the parks.....I know lots of other user groups are not happy about them. It does encourage riders to go too fast even on non race days.
