New puppy day.

A few months back we had to get rid of our rescue whippet, we could not get a handle on the separation anxiety, bye Ringo.

We had a week or so of being sad then back to looking again. We would like to rescue but had our hearts set in a whippet and they are far and few between. I started going back to all my old emails out to any breeder within driving distance. I was lucky to find someone about 90 minutes away that was just about to have a litter. I made sure to express interest and got my deposit in for our new puppy. Last Saturday on my birthday we picked up Milo (named after the singer from the descendents of course). He has been lots of fun and doing really good with his potty training, only 3 accidents so far. He needs a few more shots before we can really get him out and see him run with the other dogs.



While we were there we fell in love with his half brother. Austin has about another year as a show dog but a really good chance he will be coming home with us after.



Dogs are a ton of work but lots of fun.

What kind of dog is that. He looks like a lumberjack that just got out of water washing in the creek.

 

We for sure tried to play his name off of Devo to tie it back to the song whip it. Ultimately the Descendents won so he’s my little punk rock dog.

Lol!!! We know he is mostly Border Terrier. We fostered his mother (who’s is Border Terrier)while she was pregnant with him and 3 others. We kept him and the Mom and the siblings were all re-homed. Have no clue what bred the father is.

We wanted to rescue and looked for over a year. Whippets are very hard to come by so had to go the breeder route. Did my do diligence to make sure I was not getting a puppy mill dog. She has checked in almost daily to make sure us and the dog are adjusting fine, very helpful and loves her dogs.

Beautiful dog. Whippets are such lazy dogs it’s great.

 

My brother has an Italian greyhound which wants nothing more than to be in someones lap. Super cute dog.

.....sadly it's like cuddling a cross between a rat and a spider.
