Music... I Listened to Some

Full list of backing performers and supporting Nashville Cats listed in the closing credits, at least for Nanci's performance. Not sure if there was another artist performing on ACL that night. Don't think I caught that one live, but I rarely missed an episode during that period of time.

 

I meant the entire ACL show... it used to be on Youtube, but I couldn't find it this morning. Julie Gold, The Indigo Girls, and Mary Chapin Carpenter along with Nanci. It stuck in my head 30 years ago!

 

This one brought me to tears. Charles’ story is very interesting yet incredibly depressing. This guy lived a very, very difficult life and you can feel his pain in his music.

 

At eight years old, my buddy had older hippie brothers that had records in the house. Those records were transformational for me. Three Dog Night was in there.

Yet another incomprehensible run of lineup success ends with the passing of Charlie Watts.

Love this guy, I’ve listened to him for decades. Straight up good man, writes and sing from the heart.

Charlie made a 60 yr. career out of hitting the 2 and 4 like a metronome. Let Mick and Keith do their thing. Amazing.

 

Count me as a lifelong fan. Very sad to have lost him so early during the pandemic. His last full album turned out to be a wonderful parting gift to the world. Beautiful video! Listened to the song many times, but never saw the video until now. Thanks!

The wife and I are going to see Berlin tonight and The English Beat tomorrow night. I have 4 concerts already lined up till the end of the year if they aren’t canceled.

Wow, I'm so jealous. I've watched a couple of their recent live shows on YouTube, and they really seem to be firing on all cylinders. I'm sure the energy live was incredible. Bravo for making it out.

The guitar player for Berlin is a buddy of mine. He rides BMX bikes as well!

 

Where? I've seen Dave Wakeling around OC a few times, but never as English Beat. And Roger died, so...
