Melted carbon wheels to close to car exhaust

    This happened to my friends bike before, the tire, not the rim though. I has his bike mounted on my rack and since his bike was larger and had bigger 29 wheels, the way it sat on the rack, my exhaust melted his tires. When were getting ready to ride we noticed this so luckily we were able to get a tube in it and complete the ride! The tire was a bit warped so it made his ride a little weird to say the least lol. I felt bad and bought him a new tire to make up for it....

    Used to be a lot more common. Called it the muffler test. Some just fizzled and dripped, some exploded spectacularly.
