Maple Springs 12-28-19

Great ride today but stymied about a mile from Four Corners by 8" or so of snow. Looked like some younger riders might have prevailed. No pictures since I spoiled them by being in all of them,

Sometimes less-than-ideal riding conditions are still spectacular outings. I can’t resist going up when there’s snow in OC. Last time we got turned back on Main Divide we swore we’d hump our boards up there and slide off the summit for a lark.

I can imagine it’s getting pretty slushy up there. Maybe a little less fun than fresh tracks. I reckon those “younger” riders are summa these nutters here.

 

The youngest member of our merry band said we should have turned around.

 

One guy on an MTB was carrying skis on his back and going to have a little cross country activity at 4 Corners. Looked like a parade of individuals going up when we were descending.
