Good day ladies and gents! Been a while since last posting on this forum. I had just completed building my Camber full suspension, when a few weeks later, our daughter desperately needed some financial assistance which forced me to sell it along with some other goodies.

Anyhow, I’m back on the saddle. Picked up a HT this time around and was able to hit Kona (Castaic) last night with a buddy. It’s been a good 7-8 years since being up there. I forgot just how much I loved it. Looking forward to many more trips up to Tapia

I would guess hard tail, based on context.

    Hard tail.

I picked up a 2019 Specialized Fuse Expert. It was in my price point of $2k. I wanted to have room to for upgrades. I did put carbon Renthal Fat Bars, ODI grips and Chester pedals.

Any weekend warrior bike mechanics in the LA area? I’d love to move up from the SRAM Level T brakes to some Shimano XT’s. Shoot me a PM!

Nice. I have the 2020 fuse comp and love it so far. @rossage also rides one that he built from the frame up.

You actually have a 2019 model. You can tell because of the diamond in the chainstay.

Gotcha! The Rockshox RL isn’t a bad fork, it preformed as needed. I’m a super fan of the XT brakes, so would love to upgrade. The NX drive system wasn’t too bad either. Caught myself a few times, shifting at inopportune moments and the NX was pretty smooth. But I’m sure that drive system will go fairly soon as well.

Sweet bike! A Fuse for a Camber sounds like a decent trade.

Swapping brakes is a simple thing to do, they come ready to go. Measure your rear hose to be sure you get the right length on the new one, then it's three bolts for the caliper and lever. Before the caliper bolts are snugged down, squeeze the lever so it centers the caliper, then snug the bolts some while still squeezing. If the pads are too close together to fit the rotor in between, gently pry them open with a tool. Secure the brake lines and go riding. Post here if you get stuck or have a question. :)

I don’t have the bike close by, but I’m fairly certain the rear brake line is ran outside the frame.

To @siata94's point, it does look like internal routing.

I haven't built a bike with an internal brake hose. Safe to say I never will.

The rear brake hose goes inside the downtube just below the headtube and comes out by the BB.

the rear brake hose is not internally routed.

It is on every Fuse I've worked on. Judging from the derailleur cable/housing length in the pic, I would double check the routing.

everything appears to be routed correctly. I do agree (now that it was brought up) the rear derailleur cable could be a bit shorter.

I see. That seems to be an older Fuse, a 2017 or 18 judging by the bottom bracket area.
I wish my Fuse had outside hydro routing.

I just completed my registration this afternoon. It’s a 2019 Fues Expert 6fattie. Odd that it’s routed differently than others.
