Sweet! Thanks for the share of a great outing. Looks like this was two days of riding with a stay in Avalon?

Santa Catalina may not be the definition of classic mountain biking, but I'd call it a must-do for SoCal riders. Day ride, or bikepack. The setting is simply too unique and beautiful to not have on the to-do list. Weasel and I spent three nights tooling around; supply points and campsites made it very user friendly. We went in April – almost nobody around, and primo conditions.

I agree that Catalina is a must do! I'm keeping my eye on the Gran Fondo again this year. Last year's course was 90% fire road, and 5% crazy technical downhill, with 100% killer views! And the island atmosphere can't be beat...
