I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

At least, not yet. And maybe not at all. But maybe I will....

 

Group ride with my daughter in Richfield, Utah. 88 mile loop.

 

Didn't ride all weekend. Had to work and because I'm salary, I didn't even get paid for it. I could do a last minute Floop but meh, I think I'll just sit around with a Lagunitas or two.

 

Those were my thoughts exactly. Except for the Lagunitas; I opted for a Karl Strauss Red Trolley.

 

We finally agree on something!

 

Well, I do like Lagunitas now and then also.

 

Well, I knew it couldn't last. I saw your post about a double IPA too.

 

I didn’t ride all weekend because we were at a wedding in Yosemite....actually just outside the gate at Rush Creek Lodge. Very nice place for an event and got in a couple hikes and swam in the waterfall pools on one. Nothing too exciting and never made it to the valley...way too crowded to even try on a holiday weekend.

 

Not riding today, but did spend a couple hours wading through an underground
River/cave. It was really cool, not like anything I've ever done before . Now I'm going to lay on the beach and then go for a lobster dinner.
I love mtb, but this ain't too shabby...

Mostly because I had to work and to be quite honest if I had the day off I don't think I would have ridden. This past weekend kicked my butt.

Did I tell you I rode nearly 2800' in two days? Yeah buddy.

Recovery day from two days of driving, and then a week of playing around. Did wash the car though!

 

I haven't ridden my bike, front derailer is not working and I haven't had a chance to take it in to a bike shop

 

Piffle!! Take the FD off and go ride.

 

How am I suppose to climb without it changing to small ring?

Yoga in the morning, snorkeling in the afternoon and dinner overlooking the ocean .

 

@Danimal, did you see some cool stuff while snorkeling?

 

A ray, they called an eagle ray. Held a sea cucumber, and a small halibut. Of course a multitude of fish and turtles.
Went out on a small catamaran with just a couple it us, very cool and personal .

Snorkeling in Maui was better viewing, but the boat ride was better this time.

 

Since I scheduled 2 rides for tomorrow, as I was getting ready for this afternoon's ride, I remembered there were few things I needed to sort out on my bike....so no ride for me today.

 

'cuz I went surfing for the first time since last October.

I expected epic failure and huge crowds. I got neither. San Onofre Bluffs - Trail 5. Longboard (9'2" Robert August). About 4-6 other people within 1/4 mile. Decent little 1-3' waves. Nice water temps. No wind. Sunny. My arms weren't ready for surfing so I had to quit while I was ahead, but I got in about 7 nice rides in an hour, which is unusual for me.

How I managed to find empty waves on a beautiful 4th of July morning (from 9:30-10:30 am) is a mystery.

I went to a parade instead! Although I did ride a bike to get there!





Lady next to us cussed me out for standing in her way. That was fun. But was all good as I got to go home and eat ice cream.

 

Both of mine broke! I've still managed a few miles... Just not this week.

 

It’s been too damn hot , I’m going to hit up Marshall tomorrow sometime though.
