I avoid the south end

Usually surf the north end. Only been chased out of the water by an angry sea lion. Less stingrays too.

 

Good thing I only "Dirt Surf"... No Land Sharks...

Last time I surfed the south end of Bolsa Chica, I got chased out of the water by a squadron of angry longboarders....

I was heckled with comments like:
"No VW bus? You don't belong here." "Hey - where's the rest of your board brah?" and "Wetsuits are for pussies..."

It was harrowing.

 

Reminds me when group of local mountain bikers chased me off their trail...oh wait...that's never happened to me.
Although some Mtb'rs I'd just met invited me to ride with them and showed off the good stuff.

 

Don't forget, "First guy to his feet gets the waves. Oh, yeah, we're all on paddle boards."

Hah! I tried to find a youtube SNL Land Shark vid clip and failed miserably! Looks like SNL has held the rights to that...
