How to? How does one find a thread?

When I come here to post something I have to search around, many times without success, to find a thread. For example, I took a bunch of flower pictures but I can’t find the thread. Using the search feature only seams to work to find individual posts and not a thread.
Help a dummy out wood ya?

 

I check the search titles box and it usually brings up the thread I'm looking for. Sometimes I have to scroll down a couple to find what I'm looking for but in your case there was only one....

 

Thanks @UPSed . That is what I try but not always successful. I thought there might be another way.

 

You can narrow it down a bit if you choose what part of the forum you want.
Choose that one and then search that forum only.
Not always the best, but can narrow it down.
