WHAT: Holy Jim Trail brushing
WHERE: meeting at the forest boundary gate on Trabuco Creek Road
WHEN: Saturday 2024-04-06
TIME: 7:30 am

Brushing the lower switchbacks and beyond. Final tune up before the 2024 VQ and CC events.

We'll shuttle up to the Holy Jim trailhead and work up from there.
Tools will be provided. Having said that, if you have an electric hedge trimmer, bring it (and a spare battery).

Please RSVP to ecksteinly29@gmail.com, so he knows how many tools to bring.

If you can't make this date, show your support by donating to the Warriors Society.

All funds go directly to offset the cost of our volunteering on the Trabuco District of the Cleveland National Forest.

I'm hoping to make it after missing the last one. Will definitely need a ride in, my truck can't get past the bottom of Cadillac :Roflmao:Roflmao

Are you guys up there all day? 8 hours?
Depends is the best answer, how many people turn up, how bad the brush is, etc, etc.

With the work on Trabuco the limiting factor was typically running out of batteries for the tools and it not worth the effort to resort to hand tools. Here may be different.

Expect to be out there for at least 5 hours, maybe more. You can bail at any time though (as long as you can get yourself back out again) I get stuck with J and he typically stays the longest. Mostly because he's an expert at leaning on tools without doing any real work :p

Don't bring your bike unless you want to ride it afterwards. I'm usually to beat to even contemplate anything like that.

Ah gotcha. Yeah I might make this. It'd be a nice way to scout somewhere new to ride. Pack a lunch and go!

I wasn’t sure I was gonna post it up, seeing how much response I got with the other trail works.

you can ride shotgun if you want.

It'll be an honour to ride with you.
