Where: Simi Valley/Cheeseboro Canyon
Ride Description or Details:
The plan is to link most of the good singletrack together. We'll hit Norway, Hidden Treasure, Sheep Corral and Dead Cow to name a few. At the bottom of Dead Cow we can decide the return route. I'm guessing mileage to be 30-40 with 6-7k elevation. Could be more. We'll make sure it's not less.

Ride Pace: Moderate Pace, Death March
Type of Ride: Out and Back, Loop
Rider Limit: No limit
Anticipated Mileage: 30-40
Elevation Gain: 6-7k
Ride Duration: 5-6 hours
Previous Ride Reports:
Possible Bail-Outs: At the top of Palo Comado you can opt out of Dead Cow and head back to the start.
Facilities: At least one park with water and bathrooms.
Food/water suggestions: Depending on the heat, you camels could probably get away with 2 tall bottles. The first available water is about 2/3 of the way into the ride. Plan for enough fuel to last you at least 5 hours.

I'm in. Glad to see Dead Cow on the list, though it makes my otherwise obvious bike selection less so. I was just mentioning to @SnakeCharmer recently that I want to ride that again soon. Looking forward to this, and to seeing more of the Simi side of the Cheese.

 

Hmmmm... I have a decent sized ride that is coming into focus for Saturday. I’ll have to see if I can make it a two ride weekend.

 

One for the SS and one for the HT.

My Jet is 120/130. You'll be fine on the Spur.

 

Crud, I will likely be out of town. Otherwise, I am in. So, as of right now, I am unsure.

 

How much does your Jet weigh?

 

Hopefully my Smash will weigh about a pound more by next weekend, though that timeline may be a bit optimistic.

 

28-29lbs. Over 8 of that is tires and wheels.

 

I've never heard of anyone actually hoping that their bike would weigh more?

I’d love to do this one, but after riding today, and having something come up for Monday, it won’t be possible. Domestic tranquility...
