I'm thinking Sierra Clubbers and their hatred of mt bikes - but I could be wrong.

I REALLY want to leave hospital and be at home - I’m trying o be a good patient
The IV antibiotics and meds are making sleep really difficult
Can’t wait to sleep in my own bed

 

You could be right, too. Along with their penchant for locking up every decent piece of land. But that's for another thread/time. Back to oversized pokers!!!

Crazy injury! Glad to hear that prognosis is good and that you just need some healing time!

 

Muir brought awareness of our wild places and our interactions with them. He helped enable a population to extract joy and fulfillment from those places. That's the legacy of John Muir in my mind. But I understand that it's easy to be cynical.

 

I should probably add... thanks for brushing the trail for us!

 

My last few trips to Yosemite I was shocked by all of the LOUD Harley motorcycles cruising through and the busses packed full of tourists. The tourists would literally just climb out of the bus, snap a few pics and get back in..it was weird.
There needs to be a decibel limit, and a vehicle size/ capacity limit would be good too.
I’m sure Muir wouldn’t like it either.

The “ridiculous” California environmental laws can’t help there. That there is ‘Merica’s property, and the state has no jurisdiction except for maybe the quality of gasoline burned (as long as it was purchased in CA). Who likes to comply with environmental regulations anyway? They’re stupid.

I’m hanging in there- stitches came out last Friday. Ortho wants me off the bike for 4 more weeks which is killing me!!
Apparently need to let muscle heal so I’ll be good and stay off it.

Thanks for the follow up, I’ve been enjoying lurking on site and can’t wait to get back on trail!! May even try to make Rwanda ride!?
