FS - Guerrilla Gravity The Smash - S3

Sigh. This has been my spirit animal for the last couple years, but the time has come. I've had good luck keeping my bikes in the IMTB family, and I sure hope that's the case here as well. Pricing for the masses on Pinkbike will be different, if the need arises to post there.

The deets: Guerrilla Gravity The Smash - Size 3 (their large). 145 rear travel trailduro bike.
X01 shifter, derailleur, cassette, chain. 12sp/50t
Descendant Carbon Cranks, 170mm, with Sram 32t chain ring

According to Strava the bike has just under 1K miles on it. Roughly 200 miles ago it underwent a full tear down and tune up by Pedaler's Fork bike shop, including service of the hubs, fork, and DPX2 shock. Almost immediately after I took off the DPX2 and put on the 11/6. Bike is really running fantastic at the moment. There are the usual scratches and rubs, which I've tried to clearly picture. Everything is cosmetic. The worst of it is on the drive side seat stay. This isn't from a crash or crashes, but is rash caused by contact with the inside of the knee brace that I had to wear when recovering from knee surgery. Again, cosmetic, but it took a lot of the decal off of that seat stay. Wheels are free of any bends or cracks, and run true. I'm not what you'd call a hard charger, and am pretty lightweight, so the bike really hasn't been through the wringer.

Options: As mentioned above you have a choice of a DPX2, Push 11/6 or both. This choice affects price. I have otherwise identical 40 and 50mm lime green I9 stems. 40 is currently on the bike, and was my preference. I have a Cromag Trailmaster saddle if you prefer that over the GG. Currently the bike as a 32t oval Sram chainring. I have a 32t round Sram if you prefer. These are all no cost options. Tires have decent life left (DHF more so than Aggressor), but are hardly new. I do have a new Assegai and DHRII that can be negotiated. Size large shirt available for those that want the full GG ownership experience (and aren't skeebed out by a lightly used t-shirt)

I am not in the market for another one of your rigs because the one you sold me in 2019 already does plenty fine not keeping up with the SS crowd, Strava hardware notwithstanding.

Eh, bikes come and go. They all are awesome now. Riding em is where it's at.

 

It’s a function of a couple things. I don’t have room for both bikes in the garage, and the loose end is mildly stressful. In familiar terrain it did a few important things objectively better, and in general just felt comfortable. I’m compelled not to over think this one.

 

Bike is sold. Not staying in the IMTB family, unfortunately.

Yeah, I was a little surprised as well. I put it on the GG FB buy/sell group this morning (for a little more than I listed it here) and it sold within an hour. I’m relieved to rip the bandaid off.

My Smash? I haven't seen it, but haven't really been monitoring the usual for sale spots. I sold it to Chasing Epic. Maybe he unloads his fleet at the end of each season? I'd be curious to see what he sold it for.

 

I recall some green highlights, Smokan selling it on PB.

 

Interesting. That was quick, if so. He did flip the Push coil almost instantly on the FB buy/sell group.

 

I found it, and you're correct. He swapped out some components for lesser ones, and sold it for about what he paid for it. Smart business, I suppose.

 

I thought some green spokes were missing…
