first timer - hi

Hi everyone! Stumbled on to this site from searching for additional SoCal trails from this crazy rain we've been having as of late. It looks like some of you guys are really active! Even riding in SNOW!

Just saying hello...

It looks like most of the riders post often ride in South county (except for couple from LA CO). I am from North OC... live near Chino State park, which has been closed for several weeks. When I ride MTB, I am at Chino, FLOOP (it is a trail), Santiago (Anaheim Hills), Schabarum-Powder Canyon, Pudding Stone, Glendora Mt, or Marshall Canyon.

I've been on Oaks, Whiting, Shaddy, Bommer, and etc few times... when some of my friends want to ride down there... and getting ready for Rawanda ride.

When the trails are wet, I am riding my road bike, which has been more than usual during this winter.

One of the post on Harding trail was very nice! I wish I had that last year when I did Harding TT. Other trail info are great also... very helpful.

Yeah... We try to keep going, even when the weather turns nasty. It's resulted in some frozen toes and fingers, but we keep going. Feel free to jump in anywhere. Most of us don't bite. Most.

I am. It's in Los Angeles county. I just don't think many people have heard of Lakewood.

Just avoid going on any rides with @mtnbikej or @UPSed. They aren't happy until they break 7000' of vert per ride. If that describes you as well, you've come to the right place. If not, there are still a few who post on here who think a 3000' day is a huge accomplishment, myself included.

Welcome to the site. I’m one of the LA country riders and I will post rides that involve the San Gabes, The Verdugos and the Santa Monica’s.
Keep an eye on the rides that get posted from time to time. Come join a ride when you feel adventurous. Especially if you like chunky exposed trails.

Well, except for those FLooper’s....you just can’t make that kinda fantasy up.

Count me as one of those that doesn’t allow the craptastic weather we have been having prevent me from riding. An adventure is an adventure.

Welcome Ray! We ride the same trails, although I suspect you ride them faster. We have probably seen each other on the trails or even chatted at 4 corners (EVERY trail system has a 4 corners).
