Getting blown nearly over in cross winds in your brown Santa truck?

 

Coming over the 118 is the worst. I've been rocked side to side before and it's pretty scary. Once on route I think the winds will be tolerable.

 

Net'n pool for me

 

I feel for you. I remember doing pools in the Valley during the Santa Anas. Not fun.

 

The pool guy in my complex is usually out working early. Today, he is indoors hiding from the extremes outside.

It's scary outside here today. There is hundreds of big branches in the road everywhere. The City is scurrying around trying to keep up with clearing the debris and there is power outages every other block. I've had a few brown outs here already this morning. No ride today for me unless this stuff backs off. I went to the market after dropping off my snakelet at school. The signals are out here and there. The market was running on emergency power. Kind of a spooky experience to shop in the dark.

 

We rarely get it that bad here. I half ass it on days like today.

 

Great! A little rain to soften the ground, just in time for the winds to topple trees over.

 

We have Doublewide and his chainsaw. All will be good.

I hope I don't need a chainsaw. I have a telephone pole in my backyard, and its guy wire has pulled out of the ground. Looks like it rusted through.

I'm not real confident AT&T is up to the task.

 

I have the day off and had to cancel my ride, was looking forward to post rain dirt and wasn’t expecting the wind to be this bad. Already chased an umbrella and some fall decor around my yard.

Getting intimate with my derailleur and think I finally got it dialed then taking kid #2 to lunch.

 

If @SnakeCharmer s kids is a snakelet, then what's the correct term for a mini cornholio?

 

Pondering

 

Saw a big pile of leaves working their way upwind out of a gated community this morning. Thought that's odd, don't see that everyday, and then when I got closer I saw the gardener blowing to beat the heck out of the howling Santa Anas in his face. Holy Sisyphus!

The direction is just right and we are getting blown. Didn't seem to affect my morning ride though.

The Monrovia emergency services earned their paycheck Friday night and Saturday... Hourly runs to the 210 ( I assume). My wife saw a car that had fallen off the Huntington off-ramp....
