Just for anyone wondering, Pike 29 is not a reference to the fork from Rock Shox. Its a reference to the 29 blokes who lost their lives in a mine explosion at the Pike River mine in 2010 (https://nzhistory.govt.nz/culture/pike-river-mine-disaster), really cool to see that they have commemorated them in this way.

I stayed and rode in nearby Blackball once when I was a young 'un. Its some pretty rugged country round there, bloody spectacular though. Oh and when it rains, it rains! Don't know if you guys caught it (cos metric) but in the video they talk about the region getting over 23 feet of rain every year
