Any planned Rides for Friday July 11th or July 13th?

Have a wedding to go to on Saturday July 12th, but looking for a sweet big ride on Friday the 11th... or Sunday the 13th...

Last weekends Sycamore Canyon ride was too fun and now I already be needing more!

 

Friday is the 12th? You really need a new calendar and a jersey. :lol: :lol: Saturday is the 12 1/2th?

Trying to get back up to BB this weekend.

Depending on work (waiting on parts for Friday) I may be in for either day if not going up the hill.

 

Racing Rim Nordic on Sunday in Running Springs. Saturday either Fawnskin or Big Bear warmup ride

 

If anyone is interested in coming out to the Conejo Valley. We could ride Cheseboro Cyn and hit all the good stuff out there. Ride length can be as little or much as we need, from 10 to 25+ miles. We can hit some of the good chunky stuff like Suicide, Gas pipe, and Simi Peak, and there will be plenty of climbing for the goaters. Let me know if your interested and we can work out start time, cause I know some folks have a good drive.

Five Deer SOT maybe on friday? I would suggest JPL area ( merrils, Sunset, El P) but early traffic would be a nitemare, and it would be hot later....

Well that sucks, happened to me many times. My boss is a real piece of work.

 

I'm riding local Friday, but plan to hit the Merrils, Sunset, and El P on Sunday.

 

I did the 5 Deer Outside Loop on Tuesday. MAN! That is a fun ride! I created a segment for the Martindale Ridge Road and called it "Rollah Coastah!"
Two loops of that would be near 20 miles...

 

I need to ride Five Deer sometime in the near future.

I just got back from Alaska and hadn't slept in a couple days - it doesn't get dark there this time of year!

Tracy and I are going to Running Springs Saturday afternoon. Should be at the Giant Oak Lodge (in town) by 2:00PM. The race course start is right across the street from Snow Valley about 5 miles up the road from Running Springs. We plan to pre-ride the course around 4:00 or so. Let me know if you still want to meet us up there? If so I'll send you my cell number.

Know where you're riding saturday. Ever done exploration trail? Trying to decide where to ride sat morning?

 

Exploration is a great trail, but too short to make it a "destination" trail at only 4 1/2 miles one way. If you haven't done it is a great ride to stop and do on the way up or down from Big Bear.

Dave, thanks for the offer, but to answer Scan's first question, I might be out for awhile. Got hurt climbing Cougar Crest this afternoon.

,I've done exploration before. Just got a text from t the bomb for Grey's peak tomorrow, I'll probably go.
Did a loop last year up cougar crest ,to SOT counter clockwise to hanna flats then looped back to cougar on the road.
You take a fall on cougar?

 

Ironically that was just about the route I had planned today. Not a fall per se was about ½ way up and in a root section got the rear tire hung up. Stuck out my left arm against a tree to steady thru the section and not sure if I dislocated my shoulder and it went back or tore something. Either way going to be a bit before I ride.
Too bad cuz I would have loved to ride with you guys tomorrow.
