Ride Description or Details:
Sweet flowy Singletrack that can easily be ridden on a Hardtail. This is an abandoned section of SOT from years ago. Hugs the elevation and winds and twists in and out of canyons. Has the option to have a nice big singletrack climb heading up towards Mt. Gleason. If you have not ridden AT, you are missing out!

Possible Bail-Outs: Uhhh, yeah... It's basically an out and back
Facilities: At the Crown Valley Road Off Ramp at the 14 Freeway there is an Arco AM PM
Food/water suggestions: I'll probably carry a food bar and my normal 70 oz. Camelbak laced with Tailwind Nutrition and a water bottle on my bike

How often do you get an invite by me on a Thursday before a Saturday ride? Huh?!?!
We have two start options. The above STRAVA reflects a version similar to what @Voodoo Tom was suggesting.
The current version of that will be a couple more miles as the trail has grown further up Mt. Gleason just a bit. We could also start at the Baseball Diamonds South of Acton and do a straight out and back. I'm good either way.

Please let me know if you are in so I can get strategy info out as soon as possible!

I am in. Don't know how close it gets to Mt Gleason but I know the trail at Gleason if we want to connect.

 

Trail has not connected to Gleason yet. Still a lot of work to do.
We will either meet at the Acton Baseball Diamonds for a direct out and back, or drive up Aliso Canyon Road to Moody Truck Trail, also known as Arrastre Cut Off and do a "Y" type of ride where we could end at the Baseball Diamonds but will need a ride back to he trailhead on Aliso.

 

I wish....but I get to work this Saturday.

I gotta be home by 1:00 or sooner or the wife will chop my boy parts off and feed them to me. If the start to was a bit earlier I’d be all over this. Don’t adjust just for me(unless you want to) as I can get lost locally and find my way back in the nick of time but it won’t be as much fun.

When my wife got her convertible, she caught me eyeing up the back seat for fit... Let's just say I haven't tried that again.

8:00 I think just to be safe but again don’t cater to me. Been a LONG day and I’m turning in early and will check back in the morning.

 

Top down, cover back seat, load bike ,put top up.
Did that for years and worked great.

How about we leave it at 9:00 since we have not heard back from anyone? We drive separate and if we don’t get done by a safe get home time you can peel off early. That way we still get to ride together and you have a safe bail out if needed.

 

Guys I’m gonna take a pass on this. My 1:00 curfew is getting moved up a bit. More going on this afternoon than I knew about so I’m just gonna get something in here locally.
