Oh sorry - didn't see the other thread.

Hit up the local head shop for $80 worth. Not for me... but the wife. She has friends at work who have had very solid experience with it in terms of reducing anxiety and improving quality of sleep. I think tonight she may take the plunge.

Me... I spent 15 minutes talking to the employee about growing cannabis :) I don't own any plants, but the #1 thread on my web site was from some guy who posted about cannabis bonsai :) And I have to say... it was a pretty nice plant!

I did a PCE ride a while back and ended up with a stiff lower back. I ate a 15mg CBD gummie bear and like many people have been saying, I had quick relief. No mental effects, just pure muscle relaxation and a good night's sleep.

Here's the bonsai... very nice IMHO, given the underlying problems with the material. Cannabis is not a bonsai-friendly genus :)

It took about 30 minutes or so. Not immediately, but very noticeable when it works

Several hours. I forgot I took it and went to sleep. Slept soundly and woke up refreshed.
Even gave me a reach around...

    We're trying drops.

According to the guy at the shop, with the recent legalization of all hemp products, it is legal in all states as long as it doesn't contain TDC. However you cannot sell or distribute it in a capsule form (like a pill) unless you are an MD and prescribe it.

We've gone through about four or five different labels, and settled on Care By Design's CBD offerings. Their stuff is mixed with different amounts of THC, so is only available through dispensaries. My gut tells me that CBD derived from cannabis is better than that from hemp... just more beneficial compounds in it, including THC. THC isn't bad, or just for recreational use. It supplies a lot of the analgesic effects, and from what I've read, compliments the CBD and makes it work more efficiently. CBD by itself does good for basic pain reduction, but when you really hurt, the THC cuts through it wonderfully.

Seems to be my experience with the topical. Also, @Mikie maybe you can merge these stoner threads?

Pretty spot on right there. Use CBD/THC together, the benefit each other.
And, get ready for the wave of CBD and or THC infused drinks. It’s starting to snowball down the hill, getting bigger.

4500 mg CBD w/o THC cost me $80 retail.

FWIW you can get CBD wholesale from China @ $14/g. You can get the 99.7% pure isolate @ $8/g if you buy 1000 grams+. Maybe we should have a line of IMTBTRAILS CBD?

Long post incoming, but a co-worker was asking me some questions about this as I'd been having some issues with insomnia off and on. I have pretty much zero anxiety but I have an extremely stressful job (project manager for commercial construction, specializing in high rises) and I take a medication that shall not be named but helps with focus (you can guess). I've been taking that medication since I was 7 years old. at any rate, in the past I was self medicating with things I also won't mention and admit to in public, some synergize with CBD. I didn't find any improvements with CBD but I did find an incredible amount of QOL improvements taking magnesium and the synergistic supplements. I wrote the below email but I felt it would also apply here. FWIW, my wife has chronic generalized anxiety disorder which she takes medication for (daily SSRI). She has also adopted this supplement routine and she tells me that she is sleeping better and feels calmer. That's my experience as well. I digress.

FWIW I wouldn’t touch any oil from China. Regardless of how pure it claims to be. Always remember you get what you pay for. We use the highest grade pure organic stuff we can find. Try to find product that has been tested by outside labs. There is A LOT of cheap oil out there that will not give anyone any relief. Only disappointment.

The stuff I like is around $50 for 15ml/240mg.

I now make my own for about $40 an eighth, which makes ~ 45ml/450mg

Good post @Ebruner ! I have some pretty solid attention deficits, I can guarantee you that is why I ride. It literally makes me focus on one thing and one thing only.
That ends up being the only 60-odd minutes of my day that my mind is focused!

    We're just not as photogenic!

I make my own oil but I have no idea of the actual potency. I have to use it, like in brownies, then just test out a piece and see what happens.
