Just registered under imtb as well and will be bringing beverages, but had a question for the folks that did it last year. Since its on private property is drinking out of bottles and cans cool, or do you have to be discrete about it (red solo)? I will probably be right in front of the broom @mtnbikej my long lost broken shoulder brother that I've never met.

 

They'll have a beer garden set up. Last year they were pretty clear about not having alcohol outside that area and I'm not sure they'd smile on you bringing in your own.

Be discreet and you'll probably be okay.

 

Saturday's forecast shows nice temps but windy.

Those winds are nothing compared to the 25+ mph we dealt with last year.

 

On the beer question:

Since I have to drive home I just play by the rules and buy 1 at the beer garden. I think your registration gets you one free one also. That would be about as many as I'd realistically want to have.

 

My main concern is carbo loading for the recovery ride on Sunday.

I think I remember @JordanHMay saying he'd be there, but he didn't sign up with the team.

And @singlespeedrider is supposed to be there, but another one who didn't take one for the team.

And everyone's favorite broom-meister, @mtnbikej Honorary member, even though he's chasing everyone down.

If there are any additions I'll post them up on Friday evening. Make sure you high-five/bitch-slap/acknowledge your fellow team members Saturday morning.

 

Oh yeah - almost forgot. This was the ride I thought the JenifEd were doing about a month ago. Is this still planned? Whiting-Luge-Whiting Sunday? I could join in, if it's not too early. I have prom Saturday night and likely won't get home until well after 1:00 am.

I’ll be out Saturday but I’m not signing up. So much going on at home right now I could end up having to bail early.

 

I can do 8:00, and I may be able to go past the Luge - at least to my super secret turn around spot. Probably don't have the legs to get to Old Cramp.

Is that 8:00 am meet time or roll time? Guess which I prefer?

I will be thinking of all y'all (plural form of y'all) on Sunday. I will not be able to take two days in a row from domestic duties.

 

I'll be there for the Sunday recovery ride.....then I'm riding the tandem latter with Suz.
