In Search Of....

World of iMTBtrails I am in search of two items to be exact. Willing to pay for these... just hoping I don't need to buy new.

#1. 40-45mm stem to fit 35mm bar diameter and 1-1/8" steerer tube, rise is insignificant. I am willing to trade, currently running a RaceFace Turbine 60mm w/ 6 degree rise. I want to change up the cockpit and bring my bars closer.

#2. flat pedals. something decent. Been running clips for years and want to shake things up a bit.

Prefer black in color for both items. But, really doesn't matter.... hot pink will work just as good. Maybe even make me faster.

If you get skunked on used flats, you could get the indestructible and economical re-designed DMR Mag v12. Real bearings, stout pins, reasonably thin and inexpensive.

I also have a spare 45mm 35mm stem. It is a Hit N Run brand made by my buddy Travis in Santa Cruz. Mine is all black.

I have a set of spank oozy flats . Good condition sells new for 120. Let them go for 50. I have these on all my bikes. They are the best light weight and very grippy. When I made the switch to flats these pedals made it easier.

 

Interesting, what color are they.

So far... yes. Abalutely.
Only two rides so far, but I like them. Prolly gonna need different zapatos. The laces irritate a couple of screws I have in the top of my left foot. But, so far so good.
It's definitely different, the platforms are so big and bulky. Rock strikes are almost common now. And, there are a few tech climbs I haven't been able to clean with the flats. Which I could do when clipped in. But overall I am liking it. I feel like my turns are more fluid now.

 

There are much thinner flats available than the Straitlines...

 

TtB, if you were in OC, i'd give the Oozy a try.

I had the Spikes and for me, they were not as grippy as the HT AE 01 nor ME 03.

I have the exact stem (RaceFace Atlas 35mm/35mm) I'd trade if you had a 50mm.

AKAKTM, those Xpedo look great and priced right and ultra lightweight.

Question: do they squeak due to the lack of pins on/near the axle? I see lots of wear there in the reviews. I've had
other pedals in the past w/out pins there and hated the squeak squeak squeak every rev.
