I DIDN'T Ride My Bike Today, Cuzz....

I don't discriminate until I try something. Then I discriminate with gusto and fervor.

 

He mentioned a lot of beer on the houseboat, but all I saw was Bud Light....

 

Didn't ride yesterday - it was mom's 80th birthday bash. All my brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, my kids, my grandkids, etc. All in the same location at the same time. I think that's some kind of record.

Today was wake up, totter around, have breakfast, grab a newspaper, do the NY Times crossword puzzle in almost record time, then decide to head off to Barnes & Noble.

All in all, a great weekend!!

 

Didn't ride a MTB today - because I ran a half marathon.
But, I did ride a Deco Bike (San Diego's bike share) back to the hotel. Hurt almost as much as the run. Heavy 3 speed bike with low air in the tires up a 8% hill.

 

Bud Light is not actual beer. Just sayin'.

Didn't ride yesterday, played auto mechanic instead. Got to get the old '67 Mustang up and running again. No gas to the carb. Checked the fuel pump manually by taking it out and cranking the arm by hand (since the battery is now dead). Nothing. New pump on order only $15. I wish bike parts were this inexpensive. Built this engine in 1985 right out of high school.

 

I saw Wonder Woman. Don't worry- I tore up my man card.

 

So you went to watch this run around on the big screen for 2 hrs? Embrace your man card.

 

That's the problem! They kept her covered up for the first 1/2 of the movie. Not a winning strategy, I must say. I told my wife that I was really disappointed the director didn't use her assets more...

 

...because I had been houseboating on Lake Mead since Friday.

And now, back to reality...

 

I drank too many beers at linner.. I turned 36 today.

I didn't ride today because I spent all last night tossing and turning trying to pass a kidney stone....then spent the morning in the ER.

I have an unbelievable tolerance for pain....but the pain I was experiencing last night/this morning had me curled up in the fetal position.

All better tonight....but still haven't passed it yet.

 

Not a "like" like I like it, a like like I appreciate what you are going through and hope I never do...

Thanks....I feel fine now. Took a 4 hr. nap when I got home from ER. Might have already passed it, but not sure. It's not bugging me anymore.

 

Doubt it.....probably has more to do with the fact that I don't drink enough in general. I don't drink enough water on a day to day basis. I don't get thirsty, thus don't drink. I have to force myslef to drink. I talked to my primary doctor and agrees that some people are just wired that way.

Drinking carbonated drinks are a strong contributor....but I had stopped drinking carbonated drinks nearly 10 years ago.

 

Let me know if I can help. I stand at the ready with a rusty pair of wire cutters. I'll get that sucker out of there for ya, oh yes...
