Hi Folks,

Finally making my way over from STR. I'm going to make more of an effort to actually post here, rather than just lurk. Located in Foothill Ranch/Lake Forest area of South OC. Hope to see some of you on the trails.

Halleluja! Another OCer! Welcome to the best little mountain bike forum this side of the Pecos! There's a lot of "northerners" and inlanders here, but everyone's chill (except me). Welcome! Based on your location, we probably ride a lot of the same stuff. Whiting is my go to for a quick before or after work ride.

 

Yep, Whiting is my go to location. I really need to start branching out more as I know this area has a lot to offer.

 

I'm in same general area, half way between Whiting and Aliso. Have to get a ride in, are you available weekday mornings?

 

I do ride Whiting on weekday mornings, but pretty early. Shoot me a pm if you're interested and not afraid to wake up with the roosters...... Slax0, same invite applies for you

At the moment I'm available most afternoons and evenings... a bit earlier on weekends.

Hey Dave, just recognized your STR handle. You showed me the route from Whiting to the Luge a year or so ago. Not sure if you remember, but we started off with a third rider who broke a chain right out of the gate. If I remember correctly, we did Wahoo's-Whiting-Luge-Edison-Wahoo's.

Anyhow, if anyone would like to ride these areas in the afternoon (preferably when it's not 90 degrees out), just let me know. I'm a bit slow on the stuff pointing down, but I'm improving.

Just a side note... I DO have a rooster and that dude crows at 3 in the afternoon, so...... I think we need to clarify here.... :lol:

Hey Jason, yes I remember, that was Donny (Kriller) that broke a chain in the first 100 yards, I was still on 9sp so didn't have a link for him but you did!

I'm more of a morning rider so maybe one of these weekends we can get a ride in.
