An inspirational quote from Benjamin Franklin

I was cruising around Old Town Philadelphia this weekend, and I visited the grave of one of my favorite people: Ben Franklin. He is known for many quotes, but this is one of my favorites:

If you would not be forgotten
As soon as you are dead and rotten,
Either write things worth reading,
Or do things worth the writing.

 

One of my favorites:

Like my Dad used to say, usually in the middle of a Buffalo blizzard... "It's colder than a witch's tit!"

Yeah- I know it's not as classy as the ones above. What can I say? I grew up in the rust belt.

 

Colder than a brass monkey's balls.

Not sure why the monkey was dragged into it, but I remember the saying.

 

Franklin also said, "Beer is Proof God Loves Us."
