I finally got to complete the ride I kept hinting at. Here is the route:
    JPL to Lower Sam Merrill
    LSM to Echo Mountain
Echo to Inspiration Point via Mt Lowe FR
Inspiration Point to Panorama point via One Man & Mule Trail
Backtrack to Inspiration and descend Middle Merrill back to Echo
Echo to Sunset and down to Millard Campground
    Millard to El Prieto
El Prieto back up Fern/Brown all the way up to Ken Burton
Ken Burton to the arroyo/Gabrielino and back to JPL.... phew...

    Here are the stats

We enjoyed some cool temps on the climb up Lower Sam and were treated to blue skies once we reached cruising speed at altitude

Heading to Panorama Pt we rode through this shaded fire road. Never been on this and was pleasantly surprised. It leads past the Muir Peak trailhead and dead ends above the Mt Lowe firebreak.

I guess John Muir set foot here a while back.

Had a little spill on Middle Merrill. Been a while since I've made a blood sacrifice to appease the Mt Bike Gods. Nothing happened to the knee pads since they were safely tucked (forgotten) in the car
Encountered a little obstacle on Sunset, and I cut away some branches to make it easier to get by. The rest will need to be chainsawed.

I know what you're thinking, dude carries a handsaw with him? Why yes I do

After a quick water refill at the bottom of El P by the private residence, we climbed back up Brown to the first saddle. Stopped for a quick snack before heading all the way to the top of Brown.

Last stop before heading down Ken Burton. Todays weapon of choice was my XC bike with 100mm of suspension, perfect for the climbs, had to be more precise when picking my way down the chunk.

Very satisfying day on the mountain :inlove:
No mechanicals, two spills, one each for David and myself. At least David was wearing his pads
Oh and both my quads cramped on the home stretch while I was trying to sprint up a hill. All I could do is fall over in pain :Roflmao so let's make that two spills for me and one for David :whistling:

I'd have to double that to equal time spent at work.
