An important detail if you are going to go demo a Yeti...

RIDING NOTE FROM YETI:
Riders planning to transport Yeti Demo Bikes must adhere to these conditions per Cam Skalla the Demo Driver:

  1. “Permanent” bike racks are cool with me. They must be a hitch/roof/similar rack to ensure the bike is safe.
  2. We cannot allow shuttle of bikes on tailgate pads, and I am unable to make exceptions. My fleet is not equipped with shuttle guards, and I’m not willing to risk damage to my bikes.
Riders without access to a rack as noted may consider riding Whiting Ranch from the Shop

Wow - that seems to fit with the Yeti image, unfortunately.
Hey Cam - they are demo bikes - they are expected to get a little dinged up!

"For the record, I spent less on my new Yeti than most of you did for your bike." @herzalot

Bet you didn't.

Oh and with all the money you saved maybe you can get your wife a reliable car.....:p
Even her Toyota Sienna had mystery problems!!! Eventually traded it due to a premature transmission failure. It's a gift.

And wait - didn't I remove that snarky comment about my Yeti deal?

Hey there fellow IMTBers... Remember this comment about the Yeti demo not allowing transport via truck pad? I wrote Conroy and shared my thoughts about elitism and the Yeti image.

Well they took my suggestion and will be relaxing that policy for BikeCo and Pro Bike Supply demos "and any demos where transport is needed to ride sick trails." So all you tailgate pad transporters out there, feel free to go demo a Yeti from BikeCo or elsewhere without worrying about Cam telling you no.

You're welcome!

Thanks for sending that email, Herz. I picked up an sb140LR from Bike Co today. Didn't see this post so I drove my suv with a 1up hitch instead of my truck with tailgate pad. The reps from Yeti were cool, and I was impressed by the switch infinity. First time riding a Yeti and I can see why people dig them. Wish I would have had time tiotake one out for a longer ride on some rowdier trails.
