    Ride Name: Yeager Mesa Trail, Sat 2/25
    When: Sat 2/25
    Time: Whatever works for ya
    Where: Cleveland National Forest CA
    Ride Description or Details:
    Ride and hike up Trabuco Creek per normal. Lots of water flowing in there now. At Main Divide turn right onto Los Piños Ridge to LP Peak, descend Bell Ridge with a little HAB to the Yeager split, continue blasting all DH to your car from there.

    A wide variety of DH riding from silly-steep dirt chutes and berms to creekbed blasting on flowy and rocky ST. Very little chunky steep; mostly safe with bushes to land in. No shame at all dismounting anything.

    It's a wild little outing with a tough price of admission, but the position, views, remoteness and riding make it one of the best values anywhere. The mileage feels like much more than actual, but you'll get a smile that will last for days : )

    ~~~~~ Optional Details ~~~~~
    Meet Location:
    Forest gate parking, 2.75 mi up dirt Trabuco Creek Rd. Optionally, park at the Wash and ride that 2.75 mi.
    Skill Level: Advanced
    Ride Pace: Social Cruise, Easy with Moments of Effort, Moderate Pace
    Type of Ride: Lolipop
    Rider Limit: A man's got to know his limitations
    Anticipated Mileage: 16 from the gate, 21+ from the Wash
    Elevation Gain: A few thou, not sure – 2.5 hrs of climbing to LP Peak
    Ride Duration: ~4 hrs
    Previous Ride Reports: http://www.ousleycreative.com/misc/vday.mp4
    See? Everybody can do it.
    Possible Bail-Outs: Reverse anywhere up to Los Piños Peak.
    Facilities: Two porta-johns on the dirt road up
    Food/water suggestions: Your usual.
    I wouldn't hesitate to drink the flowing ground water high in the Trab drainage.
    True, it's a punisher. But some really nice views up the drainage right now with falls, pools going off, growth and greenery.
    But there's this: If someone would rather ascend Holy Jim and head across Main Divide as an alternate start that's more pedal-able (with 6.5 more miles) I'd be up for that. In fact that makes a really nice tour along a bunch of ridgetop that takes you in a cool semi-circle before you drop Bell.
    PS: Another perk of the HJ start is the option to bail down Trabuco or simply take it by choice for a great lolli.
