Wrightwood!

I have the same saddle on the barcalounger. Every time I get the bright idea to try a normal saddle, it doesn't end well... In the end, I mean.

 

Now this is on Sunday morning? I may be back in. Just promise there will be NO ONE riding naked.

What kind of light set up are you gents running? Want to be sure I’ve got adequate equipment.

 

900 lumens on the bars and 600 on the helmet since it’s all I’ve got. Had a second 900 that I was gonna run on the bars but the mount just snapped so I might show up with it duct taped to the bars. Minimal light needed for climbing and it starts getting light out by 5:30am.

 

When we did this last year, I ran with one light on the bars and it was fine. The sight lines are long enough that two lights is nice, but not necessary.

 

Wish I could...not in the cards at the moment.

 

I'm not crazy about the idea of starting a ride at 3:30am but I'd do it to hang out with you fine gentlemen (and ladies?) if it wasn't for the fact that I have to work on Sunday. Tomorrow is my daughter's bday so there was no way I could have been involved with this. I'm gonna need a fresh mind, fresh arms, and fresh legs because Mrs. Snake is gonna have me running all around town getting things picked up and ready for the party. Alyssa is turning 17!

Well I’ve got several seats available in my truck but you’ll probably make it to Wrightwood faster than you can get to Castaic...

 

I just ran a 900 lumen bar light.....it was fine for most of the ride. We weren't bombing down the descents like during the daylight.

It was also really dark last time....no moon. Looks like there will be 2/3rds moon this weekend.

 

This ride sounds cool but I need my beauty sleep, and plenty of it. Have fun guys!

It looks like the temps hovered in the low to mid 60s last night at 8400 feet... This should be perfect weather! Low 70s in town at 8:30. It should be perfect weather for the ride and for the post-ride bakery stop.
