3:30, 2:00, 1:30.....makes no difference to me.

 

Amazing how well you can see with 1 light on low setting while climbing. I’m open if it’s just us.

 

My chances are back down to 45%. I’m keeping the excuses to myself, but ya’ll pretty much know what’s up on the Nugget front.

Carbon technology has come a long way in the last few years pal but you are right, they should be skeered...

 

If I could pick a super power to have I think being able to sleep at the drop of a hat would be mine. It would be life changing.

 

It's not hard to do. Spend several years only a few yards from 50 jet engines ramping up....and steam catapults going from 0 to 150 to 0 in 3.2 seconds. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, months on end.

Yeah, I can sleep wherever, whenever.

 

Melatonin makes me super depressed and irritable the following day (and also doesn't work). Tylenol PM, benadryl, all that kind of stuff actually makes me all fidgety and restless. Prescription works for like a day, but gotta stay away from that anyway. So, I'm holding out for the super power lotto.

 

If my ceiling fan has the slightest click it will keep me awake all night.

 

Oh how I know that feeling, I don’t sleep for sh!t.

 

One of the first nights in the new house, the kids burned something on the stove... I slept through all of the smoke detectors going off- including the one directly over the bed. It's a gift, although my wife does not see it that way.

 

Hence the reason I’m riding in the middle of the night in Wrightwood

Once asleep I can sleep through most natural disasters, including a zombie apocalypse.

 

Interesting story - to me, anyway - I worked nights on an aircraft carrier, usually 15 hours a day. 1900 (7 pm) to 0900 or 1000 the next day. You get used to the background noise; it becomes normal, comforting. One day, probably 1300, the ventilation stopped. This was a constant, fairly loud background noise. We slept through it because it was normal. When it stopped, we all woke up. Every one of us. Because something stopped making noise.

 

And nobody in a tent within a mile can sleep for sh!t in Colorado...

 

Or......don't sleep, come out and ride with us.....then have no trouble sleeping after you are worn out. Win/Win

 

Yeah? I'm one of those people that doesn't sleep.
