If you look at the route on Geoladders, there is a box under the map that says "player". If you click it, you can watch the route creator along the route. Zoom in and set it to Satalite view. You can then follow along with the Cue Sheet.

 

I give up. $300 gone to waste.
No, I was able to download to my 520 a route that was already there but it's 53+ miles.
Geoladders and firefox are not working for me.
This is what I get when tring to download.

 

When you go into "My Computer" on the PC or "Finder" on a Mac, do you see the Garmin showing up as a hard drive? If so, just download the files to the computer and copy them to the Garmin- "NewFiles" folder. Power off, power on... Done.

 

Alright... despite better judgment I am in for the 50.

I got the email with tracks from Eric and they are loaded on my Garmin no problems. If you guys want an easy to use program to display files try Topofusion, there is a free version which blocks out some random map squares but is otherwise usable, and reliable.

Looking forward to this. Wrightwood was on my list of fall rides to do. I Hadn't planned on doing all the trails on one day, but this be most of them!

True story: Berni and I were descending a really long fire road thru echo canyon in Death Valley National Park. The challenge was to see who could get down the fire road and back to Hwy 190 without pedaling. Berni and I were pretty much neck and neck but somehow he started to pull away and eventually he descended first and won. He then proceed to open his pack and take out about 40lbs of rocks that he had loaded up in there to use as ballast!
Don't bother with the rocks @Faust29 it's gonna backfire on ya
