Headed out to Wrightwood yesterday morning. @cajun had been inquiring about it and I offered to play tour guide for him and @H2oChick

We rolled from Orange in a constant drizzle. However based on the webcams I was seeing from the mountain, I knew we would be in the clear. Sure enough, as we pulled into town the clouds/fog/drizzle cleared to clear bright blue skies.

We parked at Mt. High like I usually do. Temps were perfect at about 60*.

Headed up through Mt High to access the fire road. Yeah, it’s a tough way to start the ride...but it levels out pretty quick.

Up to Blue Ridge Truck Trail, the coastal side was all socked in....the inland side....crystal clear.

Quick traverse over to Log Jammer and dropped in. The buckthorn is a little overgrown...so it made its presence known. There were 3 or 4 good sized trees down over the trail....HAB required. Otherwise the trail just seemed a little rockier than usual. About 1/2 down I realized I may have gone 1 ride too many on my brake pads.

At the bottom, on the traverse over to the hwy there was water running down the creek.

Short roadie up to Leprechaun. The drop in was beat up quite a bit and had a fair amount of thick sand and gravel. Again there were a handful of trees down on the trail. These all required HAB. Down by the wood bridges the trail was pretty overgrown. At the very end before you start the climb up to the fire road, a good amount of water was flowing down the creek.

The fire road up to Jackson Lake has a big tree blocking the trail..there is a theme here.

Jackson Lake is full...there is no beach...

Headed up Boy Scout. The trail was in good shape. Again there were a few trees down over the trail. On the way up our blue skies began to change over to dark clouds. We’d all make it to the top.

Fun ride back down. Still haven’t seen anyone else on the trails.

Traverse back over to the bottom of Log Jammer and Leprechaun, then roadie back up the bottom of Table Mountain.

The temps had dropped a bit, the dark clouds were looming, and some of the group was struggling with the elevation a little bit. So we decided to forego Table Mtn and head down to the Yoeddeler for a burger instead.

Fun day on the bike. Always fun to show friends new dirt.

    Good times.

    Ha hah!
    Yeah!
I'm seeing a pattern of downed trees and brushy trails with a loss of trail benching everywhere. To be expected with all the water that poured out of the sky this winter.
Just last night we had a Thunder Storm and nearly a Flash Flooding as sheets of water slid off my roof! We asked for water, we got it!

Glad to see K-OSS and G-Reg get some of the good stuff. Thanks for sharing!
