Who's Riding Where???

Do over; I got out of the shower earlier, had my bib on and walked into the kitchen to my wife freaking out over my son breaking out in hives. She decided to give him peanut butter for the first time and he had a little reaction so we hopped in the car and headed for the ER. He got better in the car so the pediatric nurse told us to just head to the office. He is fine, have to see an allergist and got an epipen just in case in the meantime. He's had little reactions to new foods before but the whole peanut thing is extra scary so I am glad we took him in and that it seems to be just a little sensitivity to something new.

NOW I am rolling out to Oaks/Weir!

 

Going out between the rains and hopefully get out there before the motorcycles tear up the hero dirt.

Well... I wasn't planning on riding after yesterday's mountain excursion, but it's 74 and sunny in RSM.

I think an easy out and back on the Bell Trail to Caspers is in order.

 

I've got a hall pass/work release tomorrow starting at 10 am. I'm thinking I will probably ride LCWP, unless someone wants to propose somewhere else, or the surf is still ok by 10. I'm molasses slow climbing.

Only parameter wife gave was don't be gone all day, which means I've got to be back around 2. I'd love to explore the Santa Ana's but including drive time that doesn't give me enough time to get out too far on the ride.

So, if anyone wants to join for a slow tour of LCWP's intermediate level singletrack, or otherwise, or wants to go surf, let me know.

 

Gonna get me some Santa Ana Mountains somewhere tomorrow....and the same goes for Sunday.

 

Warning: Bell Ridge in the Santa Anas will be going off this WE. Not sure what day my pal wants to do it yet. I'll post a TH when I know. Meanwhile, freshen up that rear tire and brake pads, and psyche up for a righteous jaunt across a spectacular ridge with some technical challenges and insane views.

I'm out. Another climbing injury, never injured myself so much until I started rock climbing again.

I've been off the bike two weeks...wind be damned, I'm going up Black Star this morning. 9:30 (ish - give or take a few minutes) roll from the tree farm if you want to be there.

I want to ride somewhere tomorrow. Less wind closer to the coast, but it looks like my good buddy Aliso is still closed today. Hmmm. Can't commit the whole day - morning only.

Weasel and I are gonna amble over to Old San Juan and Viejo Tie from the Trabuco side tomorrow. With the Ortega closure, we're expecting sparse trail traffic over there. This would be a great time to do Chiquito with the same approach; could just hop on the vacant highway then up the pavement to Bluejay CG/Main Divide.

It's gonna be another one of our famously fantastic winter days – hoping everyone either got some today or is getting it tomorrow. Both even better CHEERS!!!
