If we did Whiting first, then I could just drop the Luge and downhill all the way back home...

The rumor mill says that there will be a Black Star to Motorway loop Wednesday (8/9) starting at 5:00 from the tree farm. This is the bigger Motorway loop... 26 miles and 4200 feet. It will be light for most (maybe all) of the ride. I'll bring a light for Motorway, and for the road descent through the canyon.

I'll be pushing gears, so the pace will be whatever it is...

I'll be riding aliso tonight after work. 5:30 +/- rollout from Milf park, 5oaks, rockit, mathis, meadows and out. I'm on a black/orange hightower with a yellow path jersey. Say hello if you're out there and see me.

Things are indeed looking up. I did a LCWP loop last weekend that felt great. I took it slow but had good flow going down lizards, camarillo and the nix out and back. Cleaned everything on camarillo without a dab too... yeup, feeling pretty decent. Not CNF decent, but close :)

I get three hours on Sunday 8/13. Not an hour to prepare, three hours to ride, and an hour to drink beer. Just three glorious hours. Therefore, I must remain local and either shuttle Barrett Stoddard or loop Marshall Canyon or up-and-back Monroe Truck Trail. I haven't ridden Barrett Stoddard in about 5 months, so I have no idea of it's condition, as it is always changing. If I ride Marshall Canyon, I may add Itchy-Scratchy to the route, but I haven't ridden Itchy-Scratchy in 8 months, so I have no idea of its condition; well, actually it's steep and loose, but I don't know if its overgrown. Monroe Truck Trail would be the mellowest option, and I would have time for one up and back to GMR. I have no problem riding solo because I know I'll be on time (TBD) for the start of the ride, but I'm sharing my opportunity with ya'll in case anyone wants to release some demons or you happen to be in the neighborhood.

Yep, we are gonna ride tomorrow! Somewhere.:geek: Maybe we'll make it to Elk Meadow for the real black trails (not sandbag blue-blacks).

    It might be okay...

Whiting-Luge-Whiting with @Danimal Sunday Aug. 13. We are meeting at Wahoos at 7:30... ish.

As you can see, I am consistent with planning well in advance. Nearly 9 1/2 hours from now!

    UPDATE:
About one hour from now. Still room on the roster...

Ahh the Afternoon T- Storms of CO. Unavoidable until September.

Are there really black trails in Elk Meadow now?

Tomorrow I ride at high noon until 3pm-ish. First MTB ride in a month, and it feels like I'm planning an epic by virtue of deprivation.

I joined strava yesterday to chase KOMs on Barrett Stoddard and threw out a few private texts for company, but no dice. I may still attempt it solo, but that wouldn't be an optimal ride. Still, it wouldn't hurt to see where I initially stand. I'll see how I'm feeling after breakfast.

I may just end up riding Marshall Canyon, but I'm told itchy-scratchy is overgrown. Again, I'll see how I'm feeling after breakfast.

Yay, Dio! We give you a holler when we top out at the man-eating chipmunk. Have a great one, and no crazy spills!:cool:

@herzalot, Idunno, really...ratings are kinda a can o' worms. All I know is, nothing at Elk took me many tries to clean, and I can't say that about Three Sisters!:)

Have a great ride, riders! Report back at beer:thirty. :cautious::geek:

I was thinking about riding Wild horse trail (from hwy 38) but I can't start until 9:00 AM.
Is a little under 2hr ride. Could add another 90' by going to the top of Sugarloaf
