Pshh, we'll do half of it in a day, the Rose2Toads route. It's so good you don't want to stop. That's the easy part...the haul pass could be cruxy.


Some trail riding with the weez this weekend. That TRTfest above is pushed out a couple of rides and may not be possible depending on smoke from the Tamarack fire. North rim/Truckee AQ holding...another DH enchainment is on my radar, ouch.

 

Decision made.
Skyline tomorrow.

Probably some fall line thrown in.

Plus a few extras depending on how I feel..

 

Super Strawberry Ride on Saturday. Have not ridden the Gabs since mid May.

Temps are dropping with this big ol’ monsoon moving in this weekend so it’s time for a Sedona run on Monday

 

Despite wildfires north and south of here, air quality forecast looks good enough tomorrow to ride. I give the wife two choices. She asks which one is easier.

 

The gift of weather has been bestowed. The air around the lake is, for now, back to good quality.

Let me preface this by saying I'm probably out. BUT, if my better half leaves early enough on Sunday to take my kid to sleep away camp, then it's possible I could sneak away for a pre-work ride in the morning. Chances are slim that this pans out, and I'd have to be driving home by 10, but it's not impossible. But if you're talking about a midnight ride, FTS.

I'm always open to input on how to improve the work/life balance. The work is there, and so is the life. The part that gets neglected is the sleep, during which neither work nor life happens. So far it seems to work out okay. In fact, I managed to find a cult of lunatics here who engage in this type of fun!

Just under 14k miles according to Strava. Of course those are easy miles. Only ridden to the corner store and whatnot.

 

That's all???? I have a cog on my SS that has more miles than that.

 

I haven’t had a bike go past 5000.

 

SLO on Thursday with my wife. Leaning towards Montana De Oro. Any trails routes I should hit, or avoid? Wife hasn't been on the bike much in the last 6 months due to injury, but has maintained a high level of fitness. Are trails over there relatively tame as far as tech goes?
