It could be all-pavement-all-the-time for me for a spell... ......

 

Thinking about dusting off the MTB and doing something local.

 

What are the coordinates?

 

My house. Start time depends on what time I get up. Won't be in bed until midnight tonight.

 

Can anyone recommend me a good intermediate trail that is open right now?

 

Are you ready to try some Black Diamond level stuff?

 

FLoop is always good. Gotta pay attention to prevent serious injury.

 

I'll bet that the FLoop sees record numbers tomorrow though.

Looks like about 2011 or so. But I believe I see some 29ers in there, based on the ratio of fork lowers to stanchion on some of the bikes. I believe that is Mike from Fullerton Bikes in the center on the Surly fat bike. The Speshy Enduro with the proprietary dual crown fork should be a good chronometer for the photo.



Any of you other sleuths want to take a shot at this? When was the FLoop photo taken and are there any 29ers in the photo?

.... thats looks like the height of when Dino used to sheppard the Fully night rides in 2008..... I think I built up my first 29er in January 2009, remember when the Niner frames were king and most of the time people just built 9er hard tails and I believe the longest travel 9er FS was 100mm?

 

This afternoon after work. Some configuration of roads in my general area.

I have my 9/80 day off tomorrow, so I will most likely hit the FLoop. I don't feel like driving very far. I may even ride from home. Unfortunately the extra extra credit is closed, so I'll have to make the most of the regular extra credit....

 

Santa Monicas. First century attempt on the Lauf. It will be all pavement as nothing is open. Should be fun.

Mt Lukens fire road to the towers and back tomorrow mid day after I drive down to the South Bay area to get work supplies/goods.

 

I did that from ACH a while back. It was fun.
