With all of the trails being muddy and all of the debris in the roads it looks like it's a good time to have a gravel bike. So who's riding where this weekend?

 

I might be heading up to the High Desert for the weekend. Sand and Monzo granite boulders don't care if it has rained. They ride just as well if not better after a rain. And if the boyz end up doing PCE on Sunday, I will be just up the hill from there and ready to join in.

I will at least ride the granite trails at Section 6 in Joshua Tree (if I go this weekend).

 

Light rain scheduled for Altadena in the morning hours.

Tomorrow: Windsor Lot to Brown Saddle, conditions permitting, to Ken Burton Junction and back out via Millard to Horsey and back. I bet the water crossings at El P Trail are raging. Hopefully the water crossing at Millard is passable, if not, back out via El P Road.

 

May do Tehachapi or the Sh!t hills of Bako, Will decide in the morning.

Suddenly the mountain of homework I had to complete before going on my WASC school accreditation visit scheduled Sunday-Wednesday just get reduced to nil.

 

Going to hike up Motorway tomorrow morning. If you happen to be riding down that way, say hello!

I won't spoil anything, but I've seen a few advanced pics.

 

Did not ride. Way too wet and muddy. Arrgggghhh...I'm going nuts locked up in the house. Will likely go out for a hike.

 

Do ride ... Just find some non-dirt but still fun, bike paths etc... Pls be careful riding on busy roads if you are not used to it.

 

I only have two realistic options- San Gabriel River Bed or SCV bike path. If this weather persists, it'll be the SCV bike path tomorrow. Strava indicates you can get 28 miles out of it.

I left the rains of the coastal mountains and vallies to create an opertunity to ride without concerns for foul weather.

 

Depending on how I feel in the morning, and how reason it is, will probably do a Monroe ride...

Maybe try to tag a winter creek ride this week before closures... Maybe they won't happen
