I'll be on the 7:30-8:00 CrazyBear shuttle from Vons on March 22 for Palm Canyon Epic. Probably take it easy down hills as my ribs can't afford another hit.

 

Whose riding where on Saturday (tomorrow)?

I’m probably going to end up at Cheseboro. But I could be talked into Strawberry Peak.

Whoa, horsey! Forecast says light rain tomorrow morning so Strawberry or other higher mountain rides are out for me.

Mile 451 on the bike version AZT, at Boulder Creek where the water is pumping and the bivi flat and soft. It took me 8 hours to get here from Punkin Center, and I nearly died on that 12-mile gravity battle earlier, rode like 33 miles including loads of necky, rough, loose, rock embedded, steep, narrow ST just before stopping. Some ATVers were on the roads but I haven’t seen a soul in 6 mi of ST. No trace of bike tracks on the trail, only footprints.

To stay on topic, I’m riding the F out of here tomorrow. With any luck I’ll make it to my car.

Simi Hills tomorrow with Jennifer. More Strada Rossa "training". Weather permitting we'll go up and over Albertson fire road on the south side then head over to Las Llajas on the north side.

 

If I'munna ride, skotta be early! Daughter has HOH polo at 10:45 am, and I have a SHITTON of schoolwork to do this weekend.

Soooooo.... Laguna Canyon at 7:00 am Saturday.

Taking nephew into Marshall Canyon at 6:30am. Plan to try and get him on the mighty Giant AC2 if it fits.

Skies look intimidating. Are the clouds crying wolf or do they mean business? That is the question of the day.

 

I say crying wolf but we're staying local just in case.

I need to be at LAX tomorrow evening (~7 pm), and I thought I could try to finish a ride in the area and save some drive time.
I'll be looking to ride somewhere between Altadena, Simi Valley, and Topanga tomorrow. Seems like that region is reasonably close to LAX, and offer a lot of riding options.
I have limited riding experience with anything west of Altadena.
Anyone riding tomorrow, and interested in showing my what's good?
(For reference, I've ridden Hummingbird and The Grudge at Rocky Peak, and loved it.)

 

DARN!!! I'd have been happy to show you the goods but I have to be somewhere important tomorrow mid morning.

 

Would you be available in the afternoon? My schedule is such that I could be finishing the ride around sunset and have plenty of time to get to LAX.

 

No, sadly. I now have another very important appointment to make in the early afternoon.

If it's not raining I'd be happy to sneak in a El Prieto quickie with you if that works? Looking at about 3pm which would make things pretty tight for getting to LAX in time.

 

That'd give me about 3 hours of solid riding time (3-6). We'll have more light due to the time change. Weather looks to be good. Where can you meet?

 

How about parking along the wall on N. Windsor?
