Not that I remember. I vaguely remember some climbing....we dropped down Wagely(sp) Ridge...which was all exposed with no shade....followed by a very hot ride down the road to get back to the bottom vehicle.


Then again it's been several years, and I didn't remember Cannel being that rough either.

 

Oh yeah WagyHell. I remember doing that, miserable!

 

I think we're doing Dutch Flat. Not sure if that's any better?

Also any recommendations for an XC ride in the area? May just end up doing the Keyesville Classic on Sunday.

 

Portugese Pass? We did that before JO, it may have burned since then....

Pre-work ride plans foiled!

I was gonna go for a ride in my work area this morning. As I was readying my bike, I noticed what I thought was a goathead thorn in my rear tire. Upon closer inspection, it looked like a small nail. LOVELY. So I pulled it out and the sealant couldn't handle the puncture so that ended my ride plans. I do have another wheel set that is at the ready but changing it over would take valuable time on a day that will got hot too early.

Is this a broken spoke? I was shocked that something that long was in my tire.

What can I use to patch the tire from the inside so that I can reuse it?

 

Will be at the Luge. Cook's 9:45 ish.

Shove a piece of rubber or old jersey material into the hole. I've used tire patches glued to the inside.

They actually make patch kits....

 

I have used Gorilla brand super glue in gel form. A dime-sized amount will do. It will fill the hole and after it dries it remains pliable.

 

It's gonna be another golden eagle run Sunday, leaving scv @8 for a 9am start time, anyone want in your welcome to come along, nothing I do is a hammerfest but I afraid that the guys I'm riding with are going to be waiting around awhile

Perfect job for a plug kit. Put one in your trail kit right away. They work on treads, sidewalls; use more than one plug in the bigger holes. Cuts or tears, use tire sidewall cuttings and super glue inside and out.

i'm going to do more stuff that i'm not supposed to do @ LCWP tomorrow. Going to start at teh bottom of willow and do OE, Fence, Lizards, Camarillo, Nix Out and back and back out. If you're in the park... Say hello. I'll be on a black trance with a grey/black Pearl Izumi jersey.

 

Supposed to do a road ride with Jennifer but with 30mph winds that's not going to happen.

 

I've got the afternoon off. Thinking about ridge park, rattlesnake, I think I can, old emerald, fenceline, and out. Does anyone have any info on rattlesnake conditions?Overgrown/impassable?
