Yep tomorrow , Tues. wanna join any ideas? Hillbilly and I were contemplating Wrightwood , Manzanita! He climbed over half and said it was goooooood!

CVC benefit road ride in the Santa Monicas. 25, 50 and 75 mile options. I'm doing the 50 with Jennifer.

I was thinking of that place too

 

One of my favorites. I like to start near the South fork campground turnoff and get that fireroad climb out of the way. Climb up to log jammer, leprechaun, up boy Scout and finish with manzanita.

Sooooo.....where are you riding?

 

I might be in. The only riding I know in Wrightwood is Blue Ridge trail. I will let you know tonight.

 

Sunday: Taking the weezul out to Verdi for some Cow Canyon and the steep stuff (red trail) that was mostly snowed in last time I was there. Greater Peavine, farther east, has a lot of east/NE-facing aspects, so there's still some snow and mud in there.




Saw two hikers on a perfect day last time. Lots of moto usage out there; the trails are amazingly intact considering. I think they get thrashed later in the year.

Shuttle?

 

Shuttle would be awesome, but I understand the plan is to climb from the bottom since it is in good shape and recently had trail work done ( at least part way...)

I've never gone up, but heard its a beotch, so it will be a bit of an adventure. We may have to adjust the ride accordingly.

I guess we can save the shuttle for warmer weather. Or not....

Don't know if anybody knows what the top half is like it could be in bad shape from this past winter which would make it an even tougher climb

 

I need to get a few more blackstar motorway loops in before the move. Or blackstar coal oaks.
